Volvo Window Regulator Rail Front Left (850 S70 V70) Genuine Volvo 9187646

Window Regulator Tips:

Its important to check and maintain worn window guides, tracks, and seals. The majority of window regulator failures are a result of a lack of inner door maintenance. You'll find that some basic maintenance goes a long way to help keep your power window system in proper working order. In most cases the existing regulator and guide components have worn together and may provide satisfactory performance until the regulator eventually fails as one or more of these parts in the system becomes completely worn out. The life span of a new window regulator will be greatly shortened if your vehicle has worn, dry or dirty guides and tracks. The operation of your window must be carefully inspected before installing this part. Any worn components must be replaced prior to installing this regulator, make sure everything is serviced, cleaned, lubricated and adjusted to manufacturer's specs. Its possible that warranty claims will be denied if these procedures are skipped.

Mr

Perfect fit. Just a note for others replacing the window rail. When the old rail breaks off, it will leave a small square piece of metal that the screw attaches to. When unscrewing the T25 from the door jamb side, reach in with your other hand and rescue the piece of metal. Put the new rail in place and hold the old metal piece over the screw hole inside the rail. Screw the T25 back in to hold the new rail. No rivet needed.

Could't Believe I Found It Here

Mine broke and I thought that I would have to weld it or look for one at a scrap yard which is very tedious. Glad FCP stocked on this. PLUS this is a reinforced version.

Part Has Been Improved With Stronger Mounting Tab

I ordered this part (November 2013) after finding that the source of a clunking sound in my front driver's side door was the original regulator rail, lying in the bottom of the door with a sheared mounting tab. This replacement part has a redesigned tab which appears to be significantly stronger than the original design: it is wider with reinforcement curves stamped on the edges. NOTE: this replacement lacks the welded-on nut of the original. Based on an exploded diagram from an online dealer, it appears Volvo intends rivet #975586 to be used with the new rail design - presumably reusing the washer from the original Torx screw. I'm not a big fan of rivets so I substituted a lock washer and nut; there was enough room inside the door to hold them in place while I tightened the Torx screw.

Rattle After Removing The Track.

Both my front windows were getting stuck at about 90% down. I found out the track (guide) had slipped out of place and had bent and was binding up the window. So I pulled them out, but now I have a rattle. I found these browsing the site one day and ordered them.. popped them in and no more rattle, no more issues!!!

Some of the reviewers above may have been rewarded for their positive & negative reviews. We don't hold anything back.
