I chose to buy this along with the Aisin pump and new bolts as an insurance policy, in case the one in the Aisin box was creased or beat up (theirs is not in a separate plastic sleeve like this Elwis is). I compared the two and this one may be marginally thicker but hard to tell. Did not need this time, but for less than $5 it goes in my "just in case" parts bin as it's common across several Volvo models.

Good replacement, no leaks .. Double check that one is not included in your water pump kit before ordering!
