No feedback for quality, as yet. To uninstall old, have very secure trunk support. Use Visegrip to twist shaft and pop off forward connection. Compare old strut's forward fitting's opening (an open hook) with new. Otherwise you may never be able to put on forward attachement point as tools are impossible to get into the space. I had to slightly widen the new strut's hook end to get it to go on. Then no sweat, and the guillotine effect is gone. Second strut tomorrow.

Just Go Oem.

These things were an absolute pain to put on. I only managed to do it because I had someone hold it in place (my fiance is the best) from the trunk while I wrapped a strap around the top from the other side after removing the side seat bolsters, using my hand as a fulcrum. It was a feat of impromptu engineering I was fairly proud of until they broke a month later. One seized up and the other stopped providing any resistance at all. I also think I bent my trunk arm on the one side that seized while trying to close it. Just go OEM and save yourself a huge headache now and down the road. I'm betting the OEM replacements I just ordered will go on a lot easier, too.

Cheaper by far from anywhere I could find including non OEM on Ebay. Came super quick and trunk no longer crushes my head.. Thanks FCP..

Wow.... Works With A Lot Of Work!

Well my trunk had got to the point where it could be used as a guillotine. I put it off for a while since I knew to let it down easily. Others however didn't, so out of fear of someone getting hurt or it causing any damage to the car I decided to order these. Biggest project I have done on my car....ever! Be ready to get into some weird positions and have very little work room. Once I had one side complete the second was not as bad, still a pain though. In the end they work great and keep my mind at ease. Thanks FCP!

Trunk Struts

Part feels a little cheap compared with the oem factory struts. After a slight tweak was able to fit them on perfectly. Now the truck goes up very strong.

These struts were a pain to put on but they work very well afterward. If you can, try removing your rear seat bolsters for an easier access point. The hook that goes over the pin is thinner than other brands so it may be more difficult to press in.

No Fit

The hooks on these struts did not fit my 950. The hooks on these are inflexible metal and their opening is even smaller than the hooks on the original Volvo struts, which are plastic, and have some flex.

Save Money, Don't Buy Oem

I'm normally hesitant about buying non-oem parts for my Volvos but these work just as well as oem. Great product!
