More Money, But Volvo Quality

Purchased this radiator to replace a leaking unit. Considered some of the aftermarket rads, but saw a lot of complaints regarding leaks around the upper hose inlet on certain aftermarket units. Decided to bite the bullet and buy the Volvo radiator. Sure enough, when I pulled the old unit out, it had been replaced before with the same brand that I had seen the complaints about, leaking in the same place. Installed the Volvo radiator and no troubles.

Yup, This Is The One You Want.

Ordered the Nissens version first because it was so much cheaper, but it didn't fit where it was supposed to due to a manufacturing error. This popped right in with very little fuss, as it should be. Won't last forever, but from my past experiences an OEM Volvo radiator will last around 15 years or 150,000 miles. At that point, my current car will have about 450,000 miles on it. Volvo for life. :)

I could joke about how things just don't last anymore but after over 100,000 miles on the original radiator, there was only one choice for a replacement, OEM. Don't skimp on your cooling system, saving a few bucks on aftermarket is not an option for me on critical systems. The OEM radiator went right in with new OEM hoses from FCP and I'm heading for 300,000 miles on the 855T.

Some of the reviewers above may have been rewarded for their positive & negative reviews. We don't hold anything back.
