*Note: Behr Radiator. This radiator carries a lifetime warranty and will fit vehicles with an automatic or manual transmission. You will need clamp kit part number 6842411K to re-install the transmission and oil cooling lines to go to this radiator.

Replacing your radiator and coolant system hoses is one of the easiest and more important things you can do to keep up on your cars maintenance. Just like any other component, cooling system hoses can degrade over time due to the constant change in temperature.

Common Failure Symptoms:

  • Cracked housing
  • Puncture Core
  • Clogged with Rust from lack of maintenance or improper coolant used
  • Internal damage between Trans cooler and Radiator.

Its critical to replace coolant with OE approved Coolant/Antifreeze otherwise the radiator can crack or fail prematurely. The anti-corrosive formula will help to protect against rust and has an extended life compared to some aftermarket options. The coolant system in your BMW protects your engine against excessive heat which can lead to added wear or engine failure in extreme cases. Protect the engine In your Volvo with Genuine Volvo coolant (1 Gal).

I did not have the same experience as other reviewers. Manufacturers move there operations to other countries and product quality can change. I installed this part from fcp on my wagon (note to reviewer: my wife ordered it)and it definitely lacked the quality of the OE. It was Chinese made and the fittings for the trans cooling lines were machined incorrectly by a whisker so that the retaining clips would not snap over the flange. Yes I know the correct orientation for the clips and they were replaced correctly with flared wide side to the front just as they came off the OE. I had to file the clips a bit to get them to snap over the fittings. The core was also about 3mm thinner (front to back) than the OE. So whereas the temp gauge formally rested at the 3:00 o'clock position, it now runs at about the 2:50 position which doesn't worry me too much because this is a NA engine and doesn't labor under the same load as a turbo. If I thought it was going to harm my engine, I would pull it out in a heartbeat and send it back. But note there is a fair amount of labor involved in a radiator swap. Given these factors, had I to do it over, I would definitely pay more for a Nissens if not the full price for the OE. Just my perspective at this point since we have no plans to get rid of the car. My advice is to purchase a better quality product.

Went in pretty quickly once I got the old one out. Everything fit together as it should. For the price and ease of installation, I am not sure why anyone would bother with trying to patch a leak or risk further damage with a "stop leak" product.

A perfect fit, great price, top quality radiator. Coupled with the how-to video and it made for an easy installation.
