While everything comes apart pretty nicely and for the most part is straight forward install the banjo bolt on the intake manifold was impossible for me to re-fit. I tried for nearly 4 hours just on the one bolt and idk what it was but i could not get it to thread again. If I could add something to the kit it would be the copper washers that seal the banjo bolt on either side as they seem to get lost down in the engine bay during dis assembly. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars was my intake manifold gasket was incorrect. I had to snip a piece off in order to make room for the bolt on the top right to fit in its hole. Not a huge issue but worth noting. Other wise it worked fine. Consider replacing your dip stick while doing this job. The old single o-ring unit still popped up from time to time after this repair.

FCP Euro has greats kits. Comes with everything you need. Tip. IF you have a 1999 V70 XC, there is a fuel line quick release on top of the intake manifold. I used a Lisle 5/16 angled fuel line disconnect tool. 3-5$ at any auto parts store. Some guys use screw drivers or sticks. I like special made tools for special made parts. I tend to break things if I don't

This kit is essential for any 99+ Volvo that is getting up there in miles. If you've confirmed your PCV system needs some help, don't hesitate. Make sure you have a pair of end-nippers, the correct tool for installing the Oetiker clamps this kit comes with. They can be had at any of the big home improvement stores. (Google image search end-nippers for a picture) I highly recommend using these Oetiker clamps, as they will never loosen over time, and do not cut into the soft rubber hoses. Don't use worm gear clamps on a PCV system, it looks sloppy and oftentimes the clamps are clunky and don't fit properly in these tight spaces. Plus, they can loosen up over time and require re-torquing.

I bought this kit for my "new to me" '98 V70xc (with 165k) since I noticed white smoke coming from the tailpipe and smoke from the dipstick tube; the back pressure actually made the dipstick pop out several times, and of course oil then ran down the front. I replaced the catch can etc and I'm sure glad I did, cause the ports to the block were almost blocked with hardened sludge and the catch can was packed full of crap! Just don't over tighten the clamps for the small hose that's down low like I did... I ended up putting a small tear in the hose and had an oil drip at the front of the motor after it was said done. So, I ended up reusing the old original hose and so far it's fine and the smoke issues all went away!

Very straight forward replacement and cured many ills at 100K. Happy Volvo again. Thanks

The parts on other sites included an expensive vacuum hose within their kits that are not needed for my model Volvo, but the kit with FCP Euro had exactly the parts needed, They were perfect fit original parts. I'm getting all my parts from FCP Euro now...

I recently did the PCV replacement for my 2001 XC70 by using this kit. Everything works well except the hose clamps. I don't like this type of clamps and I don't have the tools for this type of the clamps. I ended up buying some hose clamps from my local Ace hardware store. I wished FCP offers an option for different type of hoes clamps in this kit, so I did not have to go all over the place to find the hose clamps in right sizes. I have to say at the time I shopped for this kit, FCP provided a good value with Genuine Volvo parts. FCP was willing to give me some credits for the unused returned hose clamps. Thanks FCP
