My 2005 Volvo S40 T5 recently started to make squealing noises that went off after loosening the oil fill cap or pulling the dip stick. There was excessive vacuum in the crankcase so much so it was hard to pull the oil fill cap. Also had a P2187 code with MIL lit up. Ordered the the PCV breather system kit from FCP Euro and watched their how to video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTuukIi6IJM) a few times to familiarize myself with the process. I took my time removing all the components as per the video the only thing i did different was to not remove the air box completely. I just slid it to the enough to the right and had plenty of room to work. Took a few hours to replace but after putting everything back my car is running well and the excessive vacuum is no longer present (You will still have slight vacuum but that is normal). All parts were shipped and packed properly and everything was included in the kit, would definitely recommend.

Great kit but beware the wire harness and oil dipstick mounting points are not tapped with threads.

PCV fit and has performed adequately since installation. Went in with no real problems, and has proven to work for the last 10k miles.

The OEM part was great, aside from some of the bolt holes not being threaded from Volvo, but the steel bolts threaded into the aluminum once you start them. It was odd but it worked fine. Would be 5 stars if this was noted from the start on the item page so as to not cause confusion and/or anger the installer/customer. Thanks!!

I work at a shop and this was for a customer, he was skeptical on this part (as some are skeptical about anything thats not purchased from the dealer) and it fit right on the car like it was original Volvo. Note the box said Volvo, the part itself said Volvo, the price was indeed not dealer price.

The unit went into the car the same way as the old one came out. You have to reuse all the screws and after reading the other reviews, it would be nice if you included one more clamp for the new breather hose. Also as a FYI, there are no instructions listed anywhere on the internet on how to replace a unit. I'm very happy with your price and pictures of this unit, for me it was easy to install. My unit lasted 193,000 miles before I had to replace it. Thanks FCP

My PCV was due at 195k miles on my 2008 C30. It took my 90 minutes to do (helps to have a cone air filter). Kit should include 1 more hose clamp and the elbow.

Got a whistling noise and check engine light from your C30/S40/V50? Here's your most likely culprit. Docking 1 star for being a partial kit. You'll need, at a minimum, another 25.6mm clamp to go on the other side of the breather hose. The inclusion of 8653344 would have completed the setup.

OEM part, good price, no comebacks. What's not to like?
