Works just as described. Easy to install (once you figure out how to remove the fixing springs). Not a lot of miles on them thus far, but FAR better than the non-existent pads on a 160K P2.

Works just as described. The old (original?) fixing springs etc. were fairly rusted. I ended up using long needle-nose pliers to remove the fixing springs and not the Volvo tool. Just press into the spring and slide toward back of car and it will come out easily. For the price, nice piece of mind.

A little Spring tune-up with this spring kit!
I recently replaced my parking brake shoes with the Scan Tech parts bought from FCP. As suggested by the Volvo techs, I ordered the spring kit as well. Getting into the hub, the old retaining springs were well worn out and very easy to remove, let alone hold the shoes in. The spring kit had all the springs needed for replacement. Install was very easy and fast. New springs are very, very stiff and tight which is what you want so your brakes don’t wobble around. I am very pleased with this product.

Another fun failure point on s60's
Apparently the pad material separates from the backing plate on the brake shoes on s60's and other P2 cars. If you neglect it it can completely take out your rear knuckle. Replacing these every 30-50k miles is a good (and cheap) preventative measure. I have these on my R, but I feel like the pad material doesn't hold well, the car won't move, but the car will move an inch or two before they hold. Next time I'd go with the more expensive but non-oem shoes.
