Easy preventative maintenance. Keep a backup around and change it anytime the seal dries out and loses it's pliability.

After trying a non-genuine oil filler cap & having it leak in less than 6 months, I bought a genuine Volvo cap & extra gasket just in case. Haven't had an issue with the Volvo cap, so the gasket is still in storage.

Better than replacing the cap
Don't buy the entire cap, try replace the gasket first

Good for the price, good to have on hand, but there's better
These are good but you have to replace them pretty often. They do their job but there are oil cap gaskets made of viton that will last significantly longer, I would invest in those. But for the price you cannot complain.

The old seal hardens up with time and oil leaks as a result. Installing this is so simple and it feels great to see the oil stain disappear from the injector cover!

I bought a bunch of these because they were really cheap. I was losing a small amount of oil and it left a stain on the engine because this seal was leaking. I would recommend picking up a few with fuel filters and the drain plug washers. Inexpensive and great to have!
