Details are everything! mine was cracked and rotted out and now with a fresh one around the cap, no oil can seep out.

If you find oil atop your engine, or under spark plug cover... This is the fix. Some replace with every oil change, but I think it lasts a good bit longer than that.

A must have if you want to keep everything clean, sealed and oil free on top of your engine. Great piece to throw on when doing your oil change or valve cover gasket!

I change these about once per year on my Volvos to maintain good seal of oil filler cap -- learned this many years ago. Good quality rubber.

I recommend replacing the cap as well if you have not. The seal did work but not for that long.

Works OK as in no leaks. Replace these every year or two as the rubber gets hard.
