It's always good to have one of these as a spare. The one on my transmission indicator tends to go bad, and I hate not being able to see at night the shift dial. Its annoying to replace it (all the disassembling), and i'm not excited about its cost, but I can't have the wife put her in the wrong gear because she could't see the damn thing... P.S. I tried soldering a cheaper one without the base in the old base, they have a 10 pack for a buck on Ebay- don't waste your time!! The replacement bulb burned out in 2 months! How aggravating!

Easy replacement for when your glovebox bulb decides to quit on you.

If you are unsure where this bulb goes, in a 2000 V70, it is located underneath the shift select lever in the middle. Remove the center console and you can replace it.

When I bought my Volvo ALL interior lights were out. I ordered all of them at once so that when I had it open I would replace them all. This one is easy to replace (10min. max) Dash bulbs are a little more difficult.
