Looks and performance in one convenient package

If your factory intake hoses have begun to fail, as they commonly do with high mileage and age, you may notice that your Volvo has lost some of its turbocharged pep. The reason for this is simple; the intake charger is leaking to the atmosphere. Rubber hoses simply cant withstand the test of time and the result is a serious loss in power. Sometimes, OE style components are not the best solution when it comes to fixing the problem.

There is no need to replace failed factory components in this situation. This FCP Sport silicone hose kit features all the individual charge hoses for your turbocharged Volvo. Besides the fact that these silicone hoses will likely outlive your Volvo, they will also accommodate higher than stock boost levels. This kit is the perfect solution for both stock and modified Volvo's. Plus, this hose kit just looks nice in the engine bay of your Volvo. It's truly the best of both worlds.

Includes all necessary hose clamps for an easy installation.

Good Quality And So Much Cheaper Than Stock Replacements

I bought these to replace old, spongy stock hoses on my 850. The install was OK, there are a lot of reviews about how tight these things are and they are true, but if you are patient and use some heat (boiling water, heat gun..not too hot) they will eventually play ball with you. The clamps are sort of difficult and seem to be just a touch too small on some. I ended up reusing a few factory clamps with good results. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Thanks!

reaaaal hard to get on, but they fit my 95 850 turbo. they are significantly smaller than the oem rubber hoses, not sure why the silicone hoses couldn't have been made just a tiny bit bigger. Soaking them in boiling water worked for me.

Good Kit

I've ordered this kit for a 98 v70. It was a little tight to put on, but putting the hose over half the pipe, than using the plastic bone tool to work it the rest of the way did the trick for me. Pretty painless install. The only thing I wish is that they still had a black kit, not just the blue one, but that's not a mark against the product (just my preference). Works great.

Good, But It's A Really Tight Fit.

I ordered this kit to replace my stock rubber hoses (one of which had bursted open). Not only are they strong, but they look great in my engine bay, and will likely outlive my car. The only issue I had was fitting them onto the hard pipes, that was a royal PITA. I tried all the tricks, including boiling a pot of water with some dish soap, and soaking the hose ends. In the end it required my unrelenting determination in 10 or 15 minute intervals of pushing and trying to stretch (the hose ends by hand) onto the hard pipes. Would have given it 5 stars if FCP had made the diameter, on the ends that fit onto your stock hard pipes, just a bit bigger (it wouldn't make them any less effective because you still have the clamps to tighten down).

Family Mechanic

The kit took me several relaxed hours to install. Disassembly required: (a) removal of the air box and front intake, (b) the heat shield has to come off to replace the short hose on the turbo, (c) the top pipe has to be unclamped, and (d) the idle valve had to be removed. 1. The hoses are definitely tight. Those that fit over the throttle body, the turbo, and the two intercooler connections are relatively easy. Those that fit over the hard pipes are really difficult. I found the best solution was to chamfer the inside edge of the hose at a 45 degree angle - cutting with a very sharp knife a chamfer as far inside the hose as the wall is thick - which with a little WD40 on the cut edge has them go on much better. I would not use a silicone lubricant anywhere near the intake because silicone destroys oxygen sensors. Heat (boiling water and hair dryers have been suggested) might help if it's below 60 degrees ambient, but it wasn't any help until I found the chamfer method. 2. The clamps are not nearly as good as the originals, which I mostly reused. The most common size are just enough too small that you can't slip them over the hose before putting it over the fitting, which means you have to back the strip all the way out of the screw and assemble the clamp in a tight space, a job that needs the extra hand of an elf. Bad choice, FCP. 3. There were flaps of silicone inside the 2-part hose for the throttle body and idle valve, These could flake off into the intake, or at the least create turbulence. They trimmed off easily with a sharp knife, but that's a job that should have been done in the factory. The butt dyno measures better throttle response and less turbo lag.

Blue Turbo Replacment Hoses

Great product, good quality. The Silicone is a bit of a struggle to fit over the existing tubing but was warned about that before purchasing. Will likely be much more durable than the original rubber. I used a generous amount of silicone spray (armorall) to get the silicone on the tubing with a generous amount of elbow grease. Don't forget the silicone friendly clamps!

This Is An Absolute Necessity...

For anybody who wants all their boost making it into their intake. The crappy rubber hoses on your ride have turned to goo, you've gotta replace them- this silicone kit is cheaper than OEM! While you're at it there quickdraw, get the flame trap kit too- it's the reason your rubber hoses are jelly. Yes, these are a pain to install. Soapy water, maybe the most delicate trimming, and patience will win through. And the benefit is immediate- Boost! Throttle response! Torque steer! FCP Groton is the only place to get parts for your Volvo. If they don't sell it, you might as well buy a parts car.

Great Deal On Silicone Ic Hoses

You won't find a better deal on silicone intercooler hoses for Volvos. I ordered a set and was immediately impressed with the quality. I ended up returning them, but only because I scored a used IPD RIP kit off eBay about the same time I ordered these. If I hadn't stumbled onto that deal, I'd be running the FCP hoses right now. P.S.: FCP's return policy is totally painless. They're great folks to deal with.

Silcone Ic Hoses

These are at a great price point but be prepared for some aggravation installing them! They are extremely tight and require some ingenuity to install. Check out the forums for some good installation advice!

Best Bang For Your Buck!!

I ordered these hoses for my 96 854 T-5 because I couldn't see paying $40 for the OEM throttle body hose when I could get the whole kit for $115, and I was pleasantly pleased. Putting the kit on was fairly simple only took me about 30 min. I used the hot soapy water method. Boiled some water with some dawn dish soap in it.. soaked the hose for a min or two then twisted and turned and wah-la they slipped right on. I recommend this kit for anybody who is looking for a quick, solid, good looking upgrade from the crappy factory hoses. And on top of that FCP's customer service and shipping is always top notch.

Some of the reviewers above may have been rewarded for their positive & negative reviews. We don't hold anything back.
