This is a Gates brand cap, but as an FYI, the box it came in has "Gates" and "Made In Germany" printed on it. Buy with confidence.

The gasket on my old cap had fallen out or dissolved, wherever it was it wasn't in the cap anymore. Had coolant bubbling out of the expansion tank every time I stopped; even after a short distance drive. The new cap feels and looks of very good quality. The cap went on perfectly with a snug fit. Drove about 60 miles today and didn't lose a drop. Thanks FCP!

Caps works great. It was put to the test when the car over heated again before I found out why. No cracks and is holding up. You get what you pay for.

Non-genuine expansion cap leaked after about 12 months. For caps & seals I'm always going genuine, because they just fit better & last alot longer.

Replace this when you are replacing the expansion tank, get the two hoses while you are in there too replacing all this.

Car overheating? Check the cap!
My car kept overheating after driving for an hour. I couldn't figure out why, until one day I pulled over and left it idle why over heating and popped the hood.
A hair line cracked started spraying coolant.
Luckily FCP had it in stock and were a close drive.

I ordered this when replacing my expansion tank, its worth the extra money to make sure your system can hold the pressure it needs.
