I like this pump MUCH more than GMB pumps. The HEPU has the weep hole on TOP of the spindle, visible behind the water pump pulley from standing over it. Convenient location for me! It seems to be of higher quality and the bearing is completely silent. I think it's a good compromise to an OE pump at half the price but no other pump I've used has been this good. PLEASE READ: My 240 always ran cold for the most part. I've been through 3 thermostats and I'm not going to replace them any more. Right after I installed the HEPU (This last fall/winter) I noticed the car almost always gets up to operating temperature now! I have YET to have this on a super hot day stuck in traffic, so I cannot fully attest to the capability of how cool it can stay on the hottest of days, but I do not forsee any problems, just noted that my car actually warms up now with the HEPU on.

I put this water pump on about two weeks ago, not leaked a drop. Last year, I put an OE water pump on my 240, and received a gouged out heater return o-ring, and had a hell of a time installing it. The Hepu pump went in easily, and I have had no issues with the gasket or the o-ring. This does NOT come with the studs for the fan clutch. I had no issue pulling the studs from my old water pump, and placing them on this one. Overall, very pleased with this pump. Would definitely recommend.

I decided to go with this pump instead of the Genuine Volvo pump. It was half the cost so I figured I would give it a try. It went on easily and everything matched up. It has only been about a week but so far no leaks to speak of it appears to be doing its job. I would recommend also purchasing the fan studs. FCP sells them, they are cheap and will relieve you of the stress of trying to remove the old ones. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I don't know how long the pump will last. But for 50 bucks even if it last me 4 years it will be worth it.
