Aisin is the OEM for the pump that came factory installed in my 2008 S40. They just remove the volvo lettering so they don't get in trouble. Simply Excellent!

I've installed this same pump on my other Volvos (S70 and 960/90s). It is indeed the OEM with "Volvo" ground off of the casting. You also have to buy the new bolts separately, as the posting notes.
I had one of these leak on an S90 but I think it was because the gasket supplied in the box was creased. As a precaution, I've bought an extra gasket, which FCP now offers. It may be a hair thicker than Aisin's but I haven't used it yet.
Be sure to meticulously clean the old gasket material from the block. This is not easy as some can only be accessed from below, and you should not use any metal scraper that will mar the aluminum block! Expect to spend a good amount of time doing the prep work.
Also avoid over-tightening the bolts -- only 13 ft-lbs. I slowly cross-tighten to just this amount of torque and leave it. More is not better and may cause a leak!

Perfect fit.. Old pump was marked Volvo and Aisin. This one looked identical to the original. Gasket and pump fit perfectly and worked fine no leaks.

Aisin equal Volvo Genuine Parts
Aisin is brand which make parts for volvo, and spending more money on part where it say Volvo on it is unnecessary. I change my water pumps every 120 - 170 miles, every time when I do Time Belt job I check the condition of the bearing and looseness of it. When it comes to Timing Belt change use always Genuine brands parts!
