Bushing worked perfectly. used hacksaw blade to cut out old bushing shell. Cleaned up housing and put bushing in freezer overnight. When ready put some silicon lube on outside and used two 1" pipe flanges with a threaded rod and appropriate washers and hex nuts to make press to push in from drivers side. Then Used 2" PVC pipe coupling on passenger side of press to move it last 1/8" in. This centers bushing with about 1/8" exposed on each side of metal housing. Be sure to observe arrow molded on side of bushing. This should be pointed upward and lined up with dot stamped in upper side of metal bracket. Very tight press fit but if you take your time and align properly it will go in place.Overall perfect fit makes a big difference in reducing vibration. Thanks again FCP for a perfect replacement part.

Don't Even Think About It

I don't understand how others were able to get this bushing into the arm, but no matter what combination of vise, c-clamp, or mallet, this bushing will not go in. You'll need a real bushing press or volvo special tool to install this bushing. I do all the work on my cars, and am very adept at just about every repair, but this bushing was impossible to install.

Great!!...once you wrestle it on for 2 hours. Its a very tight press fit, I'm told volvo has a special tool to press these in. It would be very helpful if there was a way to get a loaner tool with your purchase, I would be more than happy to pay the shipping to use the tool (hint hint) End of the day: no more vibration in my steering wheel!

As with everything else I have purchased here, it works well and a great value. It does take some patients to get it in correctly, do not rush it.

Di Yer

This Lemforder seemed harder to press in than in my extensive past experience with keeping two Volvos in OE torque rod bushings. Had I not had my trusty homemade wood block press, I don't know how I would have gotten it in place. Perhaps made of tougher stuff, so we will see how it holds up.

Hard to get into the old housing but if you take a grinder or belt sander to it and make it a bit smaller, a large C clamp will press it in. A lot cheaper then replacing the the entire upper torque arm mount.

Right Part, A Nightmare To Install

Even thou this is the right part number, the OD seems too large when compared with other brands. It's almost a full 4mm too large. This would make for a great press-fit. Problem is that it is impossible to do it. I tried to do on the car, impossible. Then, off to the press I went, no go. I ended up grinding (on a pedestal grinder) about 3 mm off the part all around. Only after that, it was a super tight press-fit. A 20 minute job converted into a 3 hour nightmare. Thanks Lemforder.

Fantastic Price

This has got to be one of the best products for your Volvo for the money. You can't beat the price or expertise of the FCP team. A little hard to install without the right tools, but took less than an hour. Well worth the peace of mind

Best Bang For Your Buck!!

Some poly mount give you unwanted vibrations, this mount is soft rubber so it absorbs to OEM specs.. I prefer the smoothness to the vibration, so I went with this mount even if it means i have to replace it more often... You cant beat i tfor the price
