I just got the servo update kit and installed it. The parts were all quality parts and the price was very good,

I've purchased this part in hopes to fix the shift flare, but even after trans fluid change and adaptive relearn did not worked. Seems I need a trans rebuild.

The product is better designed. Dont do like i did and not get the clip in all the way. The c clip has to be seated all the way. I didnt get mine all the way in and it blew out with the piston and spring going down the road. Not the kind of tranny flush i was intending.

My S60 03 T5 would flare randomly and hard from 3-4 when it got really hot and in stop and go traffic, 2-3 would flare but not as frequently as 3-4, car has about 180000 miles. I haven't changed the tranny fluid since two months ago, then this problem came by and I decided to get this part replaced because the tranny mount was broken for along time so it may have affected the servo with all the pushing and moving the tranny was making . The mechanic replaced it for me, and he showed me the old cover was a 1DK I think as I couldn't see the code as it was really dirty, and this new one that was installed was a 4AK. I did the air bleed test and then I went to work and the car did slip from 2-3 then it did it a few times more then after the third slip it went away, about 3 weeks have pastes since that happened and it hasn't done it since.

I can not beleive how this little cap & e O-rings transformed my transmission. 2-3 & 3-4 shift flared once in a blue moon, 2-3 sometimes shifted in the harder side, and 3-4 sometimes felt like it had a slight delay where it felt like a small slip when the tranny was very warm. I installed this, performed the air bleed procedure. The moment I took off 2-3 immediately flared. 2nd take off, a small flare, a 3rd take off and it was g Be completely. I've driven 250 miles of mixed driving and the transmission shifts quick, smooth, and absolutely no flaring. It like a brand new tranny. Be mindful that I have changed the fluid.

Before, our 2002 V70 XC had extreme flares between 2nd and 3rd gear (especially up hills) to the point where we would lose engine power to the wheels for a good 1/2 second (and it also clunked REALLY hard). Mechanic looked at our car (not in depth, evidently) and told us to have the transmission rebuilt. As a last little effort to save the car, I replaced the old cover with this one, and the same mechanic said that it was fine, and also, it feels so much better and doesn't flare at all.

How hard is this to replace ? Wish I could ask other reviewers questions .

The Servo Update kit was exactly what I needed. The 2004 XC70 that I had wasn't supposed to have the old style cover, but it did. I had a slight flair from second to third, and when I removed the old one, the inner part that breaks sure enough fell out. The newer version (this one) fit perfectly and cured the problem instantly.

The new cover was definintely a big improvement, i used to get shift flares from 2 to 3rd especially the moment i exit a round-about . The new cover not only has eliminated the problem but its made the up shift a lot quicker too. However the replacement procedures was a PITA, due to lect of space.

OMG, this fixed my flaring issue on 2/3 shifts. Did the relearn and at 100K shifts like new.
