Part number: MER-2751400004 is a new, unused Genuine Mercedes fuel injection throttle body. Whereas a carburetor regulates the flow of fuel and air into a car's engine, a fuel injection system separates these responsibilities. The fuel injection throttle body only regulates the flow of air and the fuel injectors and fuel regulator control the flow of fuel into the engine. It is unusual for this to be replaced, however there are several sensors attached (including the Throttle Position Sensor and the Idle Air Control Assembly) that may need to be replaced. The Throttle Position Sensor measures how far you are pressing on the accelerator to then tell the computer to add more or less fuel. The Air Control Assembly helps the car to idle.
