Hello, two questions which may have one answer.
The DIY guide linked in the description uses 5 quarts of fluid but the kit comes with x2 5 quart jars. Why is that?
I saw another question ask if there's enough fluid to drain the Torque Converter too and that was answered to with a yes. If that's what the additional fluid is for, does the kit have a Plug and Washer for the Torque Converter too?
Lastly, as it wasn't mentioned in your DIY guide. If you do drain the Torque Converter, how much do you fill back up with? And do you do that quantity at once or, say for example, fill 5 quarts, run the engine through gears, and then fill another X quarts?
Thank you!
The additional fluid is for the torque convertor, if applicable with your transmission. The torque convertor plug (0019901117) is not included in this kit. Drain the torque convertor and replace the drain plug before draining and removing the transmission pan. To refill the torque convertor, you do this once you've followed all other steps of the DIY (replace the transmission pan and bolt everything back up). Refill the transmission pan as noted, but you will need 8-10 liters. Then complete the DIY as it states in the guide (start the car and shift from park, to reverse, to drive, and back to park while holding the brakes.....etc.) .
