This package came in handy as I was uncertain if the previous owner did timely transmission services. It is good change out old hardware along with the fluid. I will purchase again!

great kit...has everything you need
OEM parts and the exact fluid spec for the 722.9. Pan upgrade is a plus. Just swap the magnets from your old pan and install the filter. Great kit!

Fantastic, just be careful with those aluminum pan bolts

Definitely worth doing if you have an earlier 722.9 like I have in my ML63. The added fluid capacity keeps temps lower, especially because I have a transfer case with the AWD

HAVE A WARNING PAINTED ON THE PAN BEFORE YOU INSTALL!!
Great idea and truly beneficial... One thing- If I could do it again, I would have my Cerekote guy paint big warning on the outside of this in BIG RED LETTERS... something like- "UPGRADED TRANSMISSION OIL PAN! DO NOT USE FILTER FOR AUTO VIN, USE FILTER FOR POST 2012 722 TRANSMISSIONS- pn 222-277-20-00 OR LATER"
I 100% guarantee that if you take the upgraded auto to ANYONE else but YOU, they WILL put in the wrong filter. I HANDED the right filter to the Reno Mercedes Benz service tech PERSONALLY and when I got the car back, I was billed for the OLD STYLE filter and handed this one back, them telling me it was the wrong one for the car. DUH!!

Heads up for your first time
This is a good kit but first timers beware of a couple things.
1. You'll need a tool/fitting to screw into the pan to then pump the fluid into the trans. FCP has the tool but its not included in the kit.
2. You'll need a pump of some sort to pump the fluid into the pan. Can be a stand alone pump that you add the trans fluid into or just a simple hand pump that can be attached to the trans fluid container.
3. This kit comes with 8 qts of fluid. If you're only dropping the pan & changing the filter you'll only use about 5 qts of fluid. If you're able to drain the torque converter you'll be use all the fluid.
4. There are magnets on the old pan that you'll need to transfer over to the new pan.

Perfect for replacing a rotted pan on an early 722.9 transmission. I wish they had this kit earlier!

Transmission oil pan replacement
I was just looking for a replacement for the transmission oil pan for my Mercedes C300 and I saw FCPEURO had the part I was looks for including the filter, casket and transmitter oil. I decided to replace the system. Parts came super fast and it fits perfect.

Excellent upgrade for earlier 722.9 models!
Kudos to FCP for putting together such an original kit idea. I now have 500 miles on the new fluid, filter, and deeper pan with no complaints. Shifts feel a bit smoother, but mostly interested in the improved filtration and reliability. Great kit for your next trans service.

Easy and quality upgrade for the pre-2012 722.9 transmissions. No installation issues, and piece of mind knowing there's more fluid and better filter media.
