If you have an audi that requires gl-4, use this. DO NOT use gl-5, it will ruin the synchros over time. Take it from me. I have a 1986 audi 5000 quattro manual. Please don't ruin your tranny.

I do feel a subtle improvement in the shifting for my 98 328ci. If FCP is selling it, it is good for your car, end of story. Buy 2 bottles(my car took close to 1.75 Qts)

Been using in my E63 M6 6MT for the last two weeks and am satisfied with the results. Shifts are a lot smoother. I used 3 bottles to fill.

I meant to say I replaced it with the thinner Redline not thicker. And, oddly enough it shifts quieter now.

I have a 05 330ci with the SMG (SSG) non M transmission. It's a manual bellhousing that had Redline 75W 90 in it from the previous owner. The proper weight spac is actually 75W 80 so I flushed it with the thicker Redline weight. After 26,000 miles it was still red and didn't smell burnt. The thicker Redline actually made the shifts much smoother. The most notable difference was when rolling to a stop and listening to the hydraulic clutch down shift, no more subtle clunks and clangs. I'm planning on using Redline every two years from here on in.

First of all, I have to show my appreciation of FCP's customer service. These people are here to help and take responsibility if a mistake is made.
Second, I have a 2006 330CiC 6 Speed Manual. I have a Getrag transmission which holds 1.6 quarts, exactly what came out of it. The shifter became a little heavy at 136,000 miles. After the change, the shift feeling is much smoother, just as going with a hot knife through butter. It's going to take some time for me to get used to it.
PS. this is recommended for hotter states only, it might be to thick for winter.

Shifts nice and smooooth now!
The old stuff was real dark and this new MTL gear oil is excellent. I went to almost every auto parts place around town and coudn't find GL4 (only) oil. FCP had it and was worth ordering it online instead of chancing it with the wrong stuff that is readily available around town.

I changed the manual transmission oil in my 2003 BMW 530i and used this oil. It really smoothed out the shifting and I think it sealed a small leak in a seal. I highly recommend it.
