Question Posted by a customer
The owners manual for a 2002 V70 that it wants ATF fluid, but people are saying it needs this stuff (CHS11S). What is best?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
You should always replace the power steering fluid with what is currently being used. Swapping fluids generally creates problems unless you flush/clean the entire system.

Would CHF 11S Hydraulic System Fluid - Pentosin 1405116 be appropriate for the hydraulic self leveling suspension system on a 1988 BMW M6? The BMW specifications call out for Pentosin CHF 45, but I don't see that available anywhere.

CHF11S is the correct replacement fluid.

I see in the owners manual for a 2014 S60 T5 that it wants a fluid that meets WSS M2C204-A2. Does CHF 11S meet that requirement?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes, CHF11s is made to that specification, you can see that on the manufacturer's data page here https://www.fuchs.com/se/en/products/product-program/product-news/pentosin-unique-products/
Question Posted by a customer
On my 2005 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro Base the power steering reservoir specifically states “mineral based only” and I understand that at at the time of production this would have been applicable. Pentosin 11S is a synthetic but is it compatible with mineral based system seals. Pentosin indicates on their website they have discontinued mineral 7.1. Would the Febi mineral fluid be a better match? I have read countless contradictory statements regard the cross compatibility of 11S with mineral based systems. Thank you!
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
CHF 11S supersedes CHF 7.1 as long as the system is flushed when going from one to the other. Your vehicle should have CHF 11s filled from the factory. If a different fluid is in the system, flush and refill with CHF 11s.
Question Posted by Stephen
I have been using the CHF 11s on my 2000 Volvo S80 2.9 Non-Turbo for the last 2 years. I just noticed that it is not within your section for fitment. Are Pentosin CHF 11s and Pentosin CHF 202 interchangable for my power steering applications? Would it damage my power steering pump? Do you recommend that I replace it with the CHF 202?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
CHF 11S and CHF 202 are fully compatible and mixable. Pentosin CHF fluids should not be mixed with ATF fluids.
