2008 328xi E92 Auto. This is the only tool that could fit the drain plug on my transfer case. No room for an H14 socket with a ratchet. Definitely get this before you attempt the job.

Made the job easier when replacing the differential oil, as the 2 plugs are 14MM Allen. I have not used for oil change yet.

Required for certain BMW transfer cases
The transfer case on my 2009 BMW 328iX w/auto trans., requires this tool to remove the drain bolt, unless you have a 14mm allen (hex) key in your tool box.

I also had to modify the tool the get to the fill plug on the differential. Worked out for me in the end though.

I was glad to see that I could fairly easily take the wrench apart to be able to access a couple of difficult to reach drain and fill plugs.
