Fit perfectly, and simple replacement with the proper wrench (I have the stock sport suspension). Took 2 hours for the first side (includes time to cut/grind the wrench as required), and right at a leisurely 1 hour for the other side.

Perfect fit. Not that hard to replace. Fixed my howling sound and really made the car quiet again.

My '97 540i rides much more smoothly and quietly now that I've replaced the front wheel bearings. My fuel economy increased from 20 MPG to 21 MPG, a 5% increase, which is nothing at all to scoff at. I am very pleased.

It's lovely to restore order when once there was chaos. Wheel bearing noise can be very distressing with it's droning and vibrations. This part is an excellent replacement and very high quality. Great to have a smooth quiet ride once again.
