Make sure to have all the tools you need
Red side facing out. Buy/rent a slide hammer for the wheel hub and a bearing puller. I have a Florida car with little rust but it still requires a ton of force to push out. Replacement was much smoother.

Whenever I receive a new bearing to install in any machine, I carefully remove one of the seals to see the type and quantity of grease used from the manufacturer. Initially it looked bone dry!! Couldn’t see any grease. Rolled the bearing around a few times and turns out there is plenty. DO NOT try to remove the black seal, it is pressed in and is a reluctor ring for the wheel speed sensor! Only the orange seal is removable. Would also recommend the Loctite in the BMW TIS for coating the outer race before installing, the factory installed bearing came out easily when using the CTA 8650 set.
