10,000 miles in and no issue
My original failed on the home bound leg of a road trip and it worked out cheaper (even with AAA) the have a family trusted mechanic do it in Rhode Island than tow it all the way to Maine and do it myself. Parts, labor and a train ticket back to my car for under $900

2006 BMW 325xi
After 104,000 miles my first water pump died on the highway. I bought this kit as replacement and with labor and a tow, it was under $900. 2000 miles in so far so good!

Great Kit for a Failed Water Pump on N52 Engines
Had my factory water pump fail at 108k miles. Luckily I was able to pull over and shut off the engine within seconds to avoid any engine damage. Dealer wanted $1800 for this job and I replaced nearly all components affected by the overheating for $700 in parts. This is a moderate difficulty job for the average Do It Yourself Mechanic; especially on the XI models (non-XI models have more room) but it can be done Ina few hours and it will save you a ton of money.
