Seems like an excellent replacement for the original unit, I just installed it and did a quick test (the old one was weeping), and it's fine. You should note that this pump has a metal impeller, if that sort of thing matters to you. The box said it was made in Germany.

I've heard good comments and bad about the Hepu pumps. I was leaning toward going with the original manufacturer, but at the last minute I decided to go with this. The build quality seems excellent and there were no issues with installation. It's working well so far and I just hope it gives the same 124,000 mi service that the original pump did.

The propeller looks study when you look at the pictures, but when you get it they look flimsy. Can't tell how long it will last but the one I took out of my 2001 bmw 325xi had same propellers and the shaft was starting to wobble. (my guess is prior owner changed out water pump right before selling it). I bought car with 90k. Think twice before buying the steward. it puts out 20% more water flow. My automatic transmission thermostat had problem cracking with normal flow (the one that mounts in the expansion tank). Hate to see how long it last with more pressure against it. I would still buy this one but in 60k figure on replacing it.
