Removed the BMW water pump with composite impeller and replaced with this Hepu P472 water pump with thin metal impeller in OCT 2017. It has been a year and 8,000 miles on the part, so far so good. I recently replaced the tensioner for the AC and all the idler pulleys for the M54 engine in NOV 2018. Spun the water pump and checked the end play for bearing wear and this pump feels like it was just installed. Moves very freely. I think it's a very good quality replacement over the Original BMW part. I live in average summer temps in the 115 degree range. No issues yet and I do trust it. I was a bit leery of the thin spot welded metal impeller at first however, it appears to be very strong and constructed well. The impeller is thin and light to reduce bearing wear. No squeaks or wobbles. Use with confidence. These pumps go into Mercedes cars, I don't think Hepu is going to make a design mistake. I'm another fan sold on Hepu water pumps. Thanks FCP for providing quality parts to us.

Works and fits fine. Old one was cast. This one is welded metal and has larger vanes. I don't know if that means more water flow, but who cares as long as it lasts.

This water pump is working perfectly after I replaced mine and I love it. No problem at all so far.

Replaced my old pump with this part and have zero issues. Driving it more than 10k no problems.
