Clean the valve cover grooves well, use a little red rtv to keep the gaskets in place so they dont fall out when you flip it upside down to install. And order a few more extra grommets for the bolts in case you lose one or two.

Bought this after I noticed burnt oil vapor leaking through my vents. Figured I would just get someone to replace it, but I just said: hey I'll do it myself. After a few days the leaking has stopped and I haven't noticed any puddles. The gasket is really high quality and I am very impressed with the results. Overall a great buy.

Perfect fit. A really great project to get that oil leak and smell stopped. I added the 15 grommets to the order, would always recommend those be included in the job.

This really needed to be performed. At 280K miles the old gasket was like hard plastic when I removed it from the car. No wonder there was oil dripping down on the heat shield. Wish I had ordered a new Valve Cover instead of spending a bunch of time cleaning the old one. Also suggest getting the hardware/seals. Otherwise soak the bolt/seals in hot water and degreaser for a long time.

Elring makes a high quality VCG that seals right. I've had much better experiences using Elring for this particular application.

Just installed this about 200 miles ago. They fit 'perfectly'. The gaskets that go around the spark plugs holes kept sort of falling out when trying to put it on. After some time and patience I was able to get it on perfectly. Used a bit of gasket around the half moons. I also bought the grommets and washers. NO LEAKS.. yet. I hope it stays like that.
