Perfect Fitment
This was a perfect fitment for my X5 E70 N55. There has not been a single drop since installation. Please take your time when removing/installing. Also, follow torque specs/pattern. This will eliminate cursing :)

Perfect fit, thought it would be a nightmare but it was fine
I started getting some oil spots and a thick sickly sweet oil smell when the heater was turned on, oil dripped down onto the cat from a leak in the rear dropped side of the seam where the VCG meets the head, vaporized and got sucked into the cabin. This completely fixed both things, and came with everything. I would recommend buying caps for your fuel rail and a proper open socket to tighten the rail nuts.

I purchased my 2011 BMW X5 for a great price knowing going into it that it had a couple of problems. One of them was the valve cover whistle from failed PCV internals in the valve cover. The previous owner included a quote from a shop with the paperwork I received with the car. The quote for the valve cover replacement and a couple other miscellaneous tasks was somewhere in the range of $1,800 if I remember correctly. FCP Euro had this OEM valve cover for a great price with all one-time use aluminum bolts and gasket, along with the "you might also need" parts right there to select. Two days shipping later, plus approx. 5-6 hours of my time, no more PCV whistle. Thanks FCP Euro!

Fits perfect and cheaper than Genuine
Significantly cheaper than the Genuine BMW cover and fits perfectly. Job wasn't too difficult with a couple of friends, took about 4ish hours. I was slightly worried about buying an aftermarket valve cover and not OE/OEM but this is a quality piece that fits perfect and fixed my leak. No longer burning oil on my exhaust. Comes with the gaskets preinstalled and they stayed on the cover with no issues when I went to install. Took a day of driving (with a couple hard pulls thrown in the mix) to burn off the residual oil that had already dripped out but it's good now! Fix your smelly oil burning N55!

Quality
Valve cover comes with Gasket which was not advertised. Not only that the gasket is pre installed and fit firmly so i had no fear of it falling out while i was installing it. Completely fixed the issue and put about 1000 miles on it and i have no issues.

this is the one you need
Don't buy the aluminum one, no matter how enticing it is. it WILL NOT come as needed for a swap. THIS IS THE ONE, not the Amzon one, not the ebbay one or the rock-auto ones. This is the OEM supplier so its a direct swap. it includes very robust gaskets too so no need to purchase those in addition. I get that its a little more than the cheap-o ones but seriously this job is so tedious that you'll only want to do this once.

N55 Valve Cover
Worked great no issues. Actually fixed 2 issues I was having where the internal PCV was not performing correctly on the original unit and was causing a loud squeal due to not venting properly. 2nd issue was the obvious oil leaking onto exhaust and burning smell coming into cabin. I would recommend getting a new oil cap as well, since mine was original and was leaking, had to get one from the dealer. Oil leak is now fixed and so is the squeal issue. came with complete gaskets and bolts pre-installed. Elring product, OE option worked well for me. Was for a 2012 X5 Xdrive35i MSport
