Hello, I have a 2009 BMW 128i. I recently got the error on the tire pressure monitor. Upon further inspection with an OBD reader it shows error code 6050 RDC transmitter right front. Do you know the location of this in my car BMW 128i 2009? So I can swap it out... Also, is the TPMS part 36236771043 the correct item to replace with the above error code showing on my car? THANKS for any help, Jeff
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This antenna is not likely your issue. This receives signals from the individual RDC transmitters, one per wheel well. This antenna receives the four individual signals from the transmitters and sends the information to the RDC control unit in the trunk. The transmitter is p/n 36236781846. It's located in the forward portion of the wheel well behind the fender liners. Would also make sure the connector/wiring is not damaged before ordering. Because of the location in the wheel well in front of the fender liner moisture can cause corrosion on the connectors over time.

I have an early production 2011 BMW 750Li that the codes were scanned and got instructions to replace control module. Is this the part I need or do I need the part that goes in the trunk? Error code was rdc 481f81. My last 7 of my vin is CY64497 (manufacture date 3/10)

There isn't any way for us to truly confirm based on the fault code that you absolutely need a replacement antenna. A full diagnosis would need to be completed. A wiring issue for example could cause the fault code in question. This is located on the underside of the car so it's exposed to the elements behind under-body paneling. Location information is here: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f01-750i-lim/repair-manuals/36-wheels-with-tyres/36-11-disc-wheels-rims/1LLZxDgF
