My passenger side RSM went out, making the worst, most painful noise when hitting potholes. Replaced both at the same time with the HD's. Didn't do anything about the potholes, but now at least the ride is smooth and quiet.

E36 ME rear shocks mounts
I needed the rear shock mounts for my M3 ,went to FCP EURO and placed an order, item arrived quick , put them on and no more noises , can't go wrong with these guys ;)

Known weakness on the E46 chassis. Highly recommended upgrade for anybody that owns one. Did mine right away after learning about it.
