I have an ‘01 325xi and Liqui-moly’s Official page states 75W140 is correct, could you elaborate as to why this isn’t compatible for my auto?

75W140 is for viscous style limited slip differentials. E46 325xi's have an open diff for the front and rear and use 75W90. Liqui Moly's website in this regards is innacurate. We have service kits for the differentials with the correct fluids and correct quantities of fluid.

Your vehicle takes 1.2 Liters. You will need two 1 liter bottles.
