Question Posted by a customer
Do I need a special tool for this aluminum screws? If so, where can I get it?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Special tools are not required because the bolts are made out of aluminum. If you're referring to the head design of the bolt these are e torx (external tox) and use e torx drive sockets.
Question Posted by a customer
Do these bolts thread into a steal object ? Or aluminum ?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Aluminum in the case of N54 engines. And magnesium/aluminum for the N52 applications.

Does this fit 2001 330i?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
No, this oil pan bolt set does not fit a 2001 330i. The oil pan bolts for your vehicle are not one time use, if you would like to replace them you will need x2 11131435806, x2 11131435807, and x21 11131740000.
Question Posted by a customer
I can not find any manual that helps with these bolts torque sequence, can you please help? Thanks
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
There is no listed torquing sequence. The oil pan gasket is a steel gasket and does not compress like a rubber gasket. When in doubt you can always torque in an alternating Z patter. BMW's information on these oil pan bolts is as follows: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e92-335is-cou/repair-manuals/11-engine/11-13-oil-sump/1LcJIxVy
Question Posted by Gunes
Does this kit also work for the 2005 e46 330ci.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
No, this pan bolt set would not work for an M54 engine in an E46. This bolt set applies to N5X engines only. Oil pan bolts on the M54 engine are not an item that requires replacement unlike these aluminum torque to yield bolts. The M54 engine uses x21 11131740000, x2 11131435807, and x2 11131435806.
