good product, working well after nearly a year on the car...
No more leaks, easy replacement and I have not seen any oil around the oil filter housing. Replaced this with the oil filter housing gasket

rub it with silicone grease before installing it. Make sure all screws are tightened evenly. It works as expected.

2011 BMW 335i xDrive sedan [N55 - PL53 - ZF Transmission - 5/2011 production]
This was such a easy replacement to do while doing an oil change. I paired this part with another part, 11428637821, as BMW gaskets get so brittle and stiff over time. Both of these gaskets are next to each other and the oil filter housing itself consists of 6 torx bolts and 1 hex bolt. 3 for the oil cooler gasket, this item, and 3 for the oil filter housing to cylinder head, and then 1 hex bolt for the oil lines. This gasket is right out in front and EASY to access, all I had to do was remove my cold air intake pieces to get room and remove the oil lines that run to this for easier access to teh lower bolt and it took a few minutes to replace. Some oil will be present to leak out as well as coolant, so be sure to have a drain pan underneath a rag to wipe off the serpentine belt, fan and pulley's. Recommended to do along with an oil change and oil filter change.
After 99k miles my gasket 11428637821 was brittle and smooshed like any other gasket, but this gasket was still malleable and flexible but it's a cheap gasket and an easy job. Easy DIY for anyone who can take off a few bolts.
As a final touch I added some fresh oil into the oil filter housing itself to kind of prime the area since it was dried of all the oil from my meticulous cleaning, and also topped off the coolant so that some would work its way into this area as well.
