Used to be fine, Leaks on cold start only.
I replaced my OFHG and this cooler gasket about 4 years ago, finally gave out again. No leaks, and worked great until replacement. Had oil filling in the right nook right in front of the oil filter, all down the front of my motor, along the pass side oil pan and on the front of the trans. Found it was leaking on the bottom. I installed a new one last week, and it ONLY leaks from the top, filling the right nook in front of the oil filter. It stops leaking after filling the nook up, and doesn't do it when warm or driving.
I'm going to replace it with a genuine BMW one. At least I won't have to do my OFHG again.

these do not like the cold, they leak when its under 40 degrees. I'm on gasket number 2 and still doing the same thing. will be returning and getting the OEM gasket from bmw.

After hours of install on a 2013 X1 35i, this thing finally gave in after about 10k miles. Installed back in March of 2023 started failing in November of 2023, oil leaks near the filter. Get the real deal and spend the extra money, because this install is doable, but a pain in the butt for most garage mechanics.

This thing needs replacement almost every 2 years. I have a couple in stock.

Fit's snug like a glove in it's designated groove, lubed up with fresh 5W-40 Liqui Moly High Tech and should be good for years & miles to come!
