Question Posted by a customer
I'm currently using Castrol 03101 EDGE 0W-40 A3/B4 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil in my 2010 e92 N54. Is there anything I need to do differently during an oil change to transition over to the Liqui Moly? Can I just do the oil change as usual, drain the Castrol and refill with Liqui Moly?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Nothing special is required. Perform the oil change as normal.

Would this be okay to add to my 2016 f80 M3 7 speed dual clutch
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This engine oil change kit is not for the 2016 f80 M3 but we do have kits available. Here's a link similar to this kit for F80/F82 M3 & M4. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-oil-change-kit-f80-f82-f82-liqui-moly-5w40-11427854445kt1-lm
Question Posted by Luis
Not sure which to choose between this liqui moli or the liqui moly molygen. I have a 2010 135i on MHD stage 2 with 104k miles on it.
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Either option is going to be fine. We have the most direct experience with Liechtlauf in race cars and know it holds up under demanding conditions. Molygen has a different additive package that is similar to the Ceratec additive in its function. Both oils are high quality and will work for your application.
Question Posted by a customer
Would you recommend this oil for New Jersey winters or should I go with 5w30 version of liqui moly ? 2009 335i n54 xdrive
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
5W30 and 5W40 have the same low-temperature range (5W) with the only difference being the higher ambient temperature (30 vs 40). Both 5W30 and 5W40 are rated at -25C. The only sacrifice that comes with a 5W40 vs 5W30 is a marginal decrease in fuel mileage via more drag on the oil pump but the key advantage is a wider operating window.

Just purchased a 2011 328i xdrive SULEV 4dr sedan with 150,000 miles on it. I'm not sure what specific brand oil the previous owner used. Which oil should I go with?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
You can use any LL01 or LL01FE approved engine oil regardless of oil weight. Any option we offer for your year and model is applicable.

What would be better for my 2012 535i this oil or special tec? I live in Arizona
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This oil is the most common for BMWs and will work the best for your application.
Question Posted by Tec
I looked all over but couldn't differentiate between Liqui Moly's Leichltlauf High Tech, Spect Tec LL, and Molygen? For daily driving N52 motor with 70k miles, what's best for wear protection? I understand that Molygen is really popular and the UV light is neat but what are some other differences between these three types?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
I recommend the Leichltlauf oil in this kit, it would be the best suited for your BMW with the N52. The Special Tec LL will provide similar wear protection but the Leichltlauf High Tech is the more popular choice. I have used it personally and continue to use it.
Question Posted by Mohammad
Does this oil contain Molybdenum disulfide or MOS2?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
No. Modern oils do not generally use MOS2 as a friction additive It can be added to the oil buy purchasing LM2009.
