To my surprise, I had to purchase the Crank Bolt Shaft part separately from a BMW dealer. Please let the customer know all parts necessary for this costly job replacement repair.

The step by step instruction was on point. The only difference between my car and this was the additional work with the all wheel drive. The kit contained all of the necessary parts for the job. Well done and I will definitely recommend FCP Euro to all of my friends.

My car is Xdrive, so it's took little bit more work and time, be ready to remove both engine mount to take front diff out, also if you you would have a engine support bar it's gonna be handy at this kind of job. Fcp provide you with both seal for front diff and CV axle bolt, Bmw require to change clip on CV axles, the don't come with that kit (have to order separate, also you would need 2 500ml quart of diff fluid. Other than that kit include everything you need to do it job right. Fcp best.

Early cars (2011-2014) MUST get a timing chain upgrade or risk engine killing failure. I DIYed the timing chain and oil drive and it requires several special tools and really a lift. I scanned a lot of YouTube video before i put it on the lift and began, including a very good FCP Euro video by Nate Vincent. However, mine is a rear wheel drive car. An xDrive car requires removing both front axles and has an altogether different oil pan. The FCP Euro kit did include the correct parts for xDrive. The all wheel drive job took me total probably 20 hours.

Just recently installed this kit. Car is back on the road. Everything worked out great and I’m very appreciative of you guys putting this kit together! However, id like to suggest that you add the front differential plugs and new axel cir-clips to the kit for a few cents more, because you need to dump the diff fluid and they also say you need to change the axel cir-clips. Not having these things caused me to have to run the dealership last minute to be able to properly complete this job. It also might be nice to have a “recommended additional items to purchase” section in the description which could include the 2 containers of G2 diff fluid, odd ball tools like the large 14mm and 17mm hex or T60 torx sockets you need, a new serp belt and tensioner, oil and filter, ect. This would also help you guys sell more! Also, You guys are currently supplying 8 driveshaft bolts but you only need 4. Thanks
