I probably could have re-used my old bellows however the rubber had become rather soft. This replacement part feels like it might last a little longer than the factory part.

Works as advertised

For my installation of new front struts on a 2009 BMW 328i E93 with S704A sport suspension, I wanted OEM-or-better replacements. My original struts were BMW 31-31-6-785-591 and ...2. My new struts are Bilstein B-4. After 71,000 miles, my original bellows are grimy, squashed, and ill-fitting, but not torn. I purchased a new bellow for each strut. My mechanic is happy to have clean components.

Work great, fit just like the factory boots

As stated by other reviewers this is made of a stiffer plastic while the original BMW part was a softer rubber. I would wonder if this will make it last longer and be less likely to get brittle and crack like the rubber. To address the early comment that it is impossible to get it to seat correctly around the shock bumper because its stiff plastic - this is true especially if it's cool out. To make it easier place the end of the bumper and the the dust sleeve in a pan of hot water for a minute to soften them, insert bumper at a slight angle and twist. It should pop into place with considerably less effort.

Better than original rubber sleeve IMO

This is a perfect fit and great quality. There is no need to spend more on a name brand dust sleeve.
