Replaced torn OE boots with this, clears code and it’s been off for four days including very heavy driving. Th original boots had 3 separate tears that would choke out the engine at speed (read- clutch engaged at 90mph+) from being too lean. Holding and sealing air so far! Worked perfect for me thus far.

If you purchase both upper and lower intake boots from Rein it'll be a very tight fit, but other than that its perfect.

Quality boot, rubber was much more supple than my old stock ones. For those replacing, make sure you save the plastic ring from the old one! the 2 halves of the boots clamp down on a shared plastic ring, NOT on each other.

I'm hunting a rough idle problem in my e46 ci. Replaced both air boots. This one did have a crack in the smaller tube that branches off the main - going to the ICV. Still have a rough idle though! I'll keep hunting. The plastic connector of the 2 boot has a flat in it. Like it's D shaped now. I'll replace that too.
