Engine erratically misfiring. Sometimes okay and all of a sudden would have 3 or more cylinders misfiring triggering a “service engine soon” warning light. Changed spark plugs and still had the same issue. Decided to buy 8 new coils and no more misfires! I had the original bmw coils with 178,000 miles. Now the engine is smooth as silk with no misfires and no more engine codes!

I had a misfire code and had to replace a coil pack first and it was fixed, but after a few monts another coil failed and a new misfire code came on so I decided to replace all remaining coil packs. This bosch coils are a direct replacement, they are the same parts BMW actually installs from the factory so no quality or dependability issues here. As a recommendation, if a coil pack fails, consider replacing all to avoid problems. As a final note, they last for a long time. Im replacing my coil packs for the fist time after 250,000 miles.
