Might be the same part that came original, they looked identical, replaced as maintenance item and fits like a glove. Had to lube it up slightly with some engine oil to prevent scuffing/tearing. Fits tightly and idle has been restored to a smooth idle (along with a new Bosch IAC Valve). No more missing issues which this valve and grommet will cause if faulty, leaking, or stuck IAC valve from carbon build up when the engine is cold. Tried cleaning IAC Valve, only works for a couple months, get e new one and replace this grommet, you'll be glad you did.

Trying to improve a poor idle, I replaced the ICV. Always buy this part when replacing the ICV or cleaning it out. Wise to replace the old one. By now, the original is ~15 yrs old. Air leaks are everywhere in old e46 cars & they don't help.
