Worked great. Note: when you take off the old struts, do not pull the clips completely off, or they will "bong" into the stratosphere. No need to remove the clip, just push it up and it will allow the ball joint to clear. If you do, however, lose the clip, the new struts have new clips, so no biggie. As for installation, no need to fiddle with the clip, just push the ball in the socket.
Let's see if they last as long as the originals (2006-2021) which were not dead, just getting weak.

Oh man, these were extremely overdue on my 323i. Now I don't have to hold the hood with my shoulder or head anymore. Super easy to put in! Should've done these years ago. Looking forward to doing the trunk as well thanks to the extremely low price!
