Kit had everything needed. Pretty easy straight forward job. Should use a scan tool or similar to monitor the transmission oil temps for fill.

The install took longer than expected but everything went back together correctly with like OEM parts in kit. I used 5 liters of the 7 provided. The new bolts were very nice to replace the old bolts with as only a few had rusted on their threads. For the N63TU motor, the access is very limited and you will need a large syringe or fluid pump. Also the Liqui Moly oil containers had a 6' straw for pouring, very nice feature I didn't notice before using.

Great kit to replace pan/filter and fluid. Relatively easy job, fits exactly, but you do need either a pump or syringe to get fluid back in. Changed for my 13' 328i xdrive at 80k miles and fluid was dark. Seemed to improve performance afterwards.

BMW GA8HP45Z GA8HP70Z Automatic Transmission Service Kit - Liqui Moly 24118612901KT1
The kit worked fine. I only used 4 liters, which is exactly what drained out of the transmission when I drained it. Based on other DIYs I've seen, 5 liters is common.
So far the Liqui Moly seems to shift fine and it was recommended by my independent BMW repair shop. The DIY was pretty useful, except the 2017 X5 35i on which I used the kit, required some tool adjustments to access the 3 pan bolts located between the transmission subframe and pan. I had to use a stubby T40 Torx and a 1/4" box wrench to turn the Torx bit. A regular socket with a Torx won't fit between the subframe and the bolt head. I got it off, but it would've been nice if BMW had designed the subframe to allow more reasonable access to those bolts. Because of the tool that you have to use, there is no way to torque those 3 bolts to the required 10Nm. I tightened the others with a torque wrench and then tested the other tool on those tightened with the torque wrench to get a feel for how hard to press to tighten those 3 bolts as close as possible to the required torque.

For sure this saved me $100's compared to going to the dealer or even my indy. I didn't need all the fluid - only about 4.5L since most of the fluid is stuck inside the tranny. I only did a drain and fill, not a flush. I returned the unused bottles with no hassle for a full refund. Thanks FCPEuro for the kits - it definitely makes things easier for us DIYers.

Did this service on my 12 X5 using this kit and fluid at 91k miles. It needed it for sure. Everything went together just like it came off and filled using the appropriate procedure. Still have a few quarts left over. Going to drain 1 quart at a time until I have used all the new fluid. Shifts are great, no new noise or weird issues using this over the ZF stuff. Highly recommend this kit with the Liqui Moly oil.

Don’t trust the BMW marketing department; the fluid and filter for your ZF transmission is not magical and doesn’t last a “lifetime”. Listen to ZF and service your transmission every 50,000 mi - 75,000 mi (80,000 km - 120,000 km) or 8 years with this kit.
