Quality Kit Fit perfect had 1 extra bottle of fluid leftover.

14' 335xi, changed it few years ago as right now. I believe it's OEM. Works great, no leaks. Tranny works perfect, even after "hard use" with some tuning:)

Did the transmission flush on my wife's 2012 X5 3.5i at 88k miles. The fluid definitely looked ready to be changed, but wasn't burnt. 60k interval on this seems reasonable. I got 4.5 quarts of fluid out, and ended up using 5.3 quarts of the 7 provided. You waste/spill some fluid when you follow the proper fill procedures - 3 fills (cold and engine off, cold and engine on, warm 40-50 C and engine on). Nice that all hardware is included. Minor complaint is that the OE pan seems better designed with magnets on the bottom of the pan to collect shavings as well as a set in the front. This only has the front magnets, which I imagine are less effective than having them closer to the lowest point on the pan, but maybe the pan is tilted once installed. Minor issue. I know the pan says "ZF" on the bottom but clearly this is manufactured by Hengst

BMW F10- 134k miles. after this service the transmission shifts like butter. in sport mode its not as rocky between the gears, specifically when you let off throttle. in the mornings that first shift is crisp and precise. i think i caught the interval just in time- some say if its passed 120k don't do it, i think that depends on the way it was driven / taken care of. i can say after doing it way beyond its interval "mileage" it is 100% worth it. i did not have any slippage before / after this service ( this may be a key point on service ) . ZF FLUID would be ideal, liquid moly service isn't ideal since you aren't getting all of that old fluid out and its not recommended to mix fluids.. Out of the 7 quarts sent mine took a solid 5 and a half.

The corner by the drain plug is not the same shape and leaks. Even though this website says it’s an exact fit for my 2014 328d BMW. I have a ZF8 HP 45 transmission and this does not fit, I’m not a happy camper! The bolt holes lined up and I didn’t notice any difference until it started leaking. Shined the flashlight on the corner and what do you know it’s not the same shape it can’t seal. And before you even ask, yes I torqued everything to 4 Newton meters +45°. You can literally see where the shiny metal is where the new pan should be covering with the seal and it’s not.

The kit came with everything, and it was really important to me to get the ZF fluid. The drain, removal and install of new pan/filter was not bad. The most difficult is verifying the fluid level (watched videos for this). The old fluid (at 55K miles) was dark, but not too bad. I would not have wanted it to be in there any longer. The transmission shifted better right after the change,smoother, and no grab from 1st to 2nd. Since I know not all fluid is changed out, I will change just the fluid again after 10K miles just to get most of the old stuff out.

Excellent product and great value, bought this transmission kit for my 328d and 2015 X5D - my local Indy replaced the oil & filter for $200 and reset adaptations (which improved shifting, transmission is real smooth) - done this service every 50k now 4 times over the last 7 years, 0 issues with transmission.
