This is a very nice kit that includes everything you need for a "drain and fill" transmission service, not a full flush. I pretty much used all the transmission fluid included in the package because you will lose some of the fluid in the process of filling the transmission when cold then again with the car at operating temperature. So try not to spill much of the fluid while performing the job. The kit also includes a new fill plug as well as new transmission pan bolts. An instructional diagram is also included to guide the way you tighten the pan bolts. Overall, it is a nice kit. I saw the cheaper options from Pentosin and Liqui Moly but I was afraid to to try them although they are reputable brands.

I actually bought this for use in my Range Rover. I wanted a clearly-labeled ZF offering and this one fit the bill, with new bolts, and at a good price. I replaced the Mechatronic sealing sleeve too as a "while you're in there" task, though my old one was not leaking...

I plan on owning my X5 diesel for a long time and having the lifetime warranty is definitely a plus to me even though BMW doesn't really establish a proper fluid change time Frame. ZF (manufacturer of the transmission) If I recall correctly suggests about 80k or so miles for the change. This kit came with everything I needed and worked great. Plus that it uses the OE fluid for the change gives me a piece of mind.
