The drain plug is pre-installed on the pan out of the box. Details as to what is included with the pan/filter assembly can be seen on p/n ZFS-0501220297.

Is it necessary to do an adapt and relearn procedure once the fluid has been changed or is that optional?

No, you should not touch anything pertaining to resetting and relearning adaptations for a drain and fill service. Adaptation resets and relearns are only performed when mechanical components (solenoids, valve bodies, clutches, etc) are changed on the transmission.

Not for a regular service. If the Mechatronic seal is not leaking there is generally no need to replace it.

This is a basic service kit for a drain and fill service. Mechatronic parts are only required if servicing is being done to the Mechatronic unit itself. We have Mechatronic service kits that include the parts in this kit plus associated Mechatronic parts.

As noted 2010 models years from From 9/2010 with GA6HP19Z transmissions only. The GM GA6L45R can be equipped interchangeably up to that production date split. Without knowing the production date of your vehicle we cannot answer definitively.
