There is something really nice about doing the right job, with the right tool. Forget about juggling tools, and trying to find a good grip in a hard to reach area, with this is just a 2 minute job to clear the fan, and then keep working.

You could take the fan clutch without them but if your belts rip or if your tensioners don't work it'll be a lot harder and this makes the job so much easier best to go with these tools and remember to make sure to go the right way. On mine the threads were left handed
