After 350k miles on my original 540 it was time to replace during a fan shroud and expansion tank replacement. As always, original BMW branded part made by Behr was original to the car when I purchased new and same Behr now installed. Lot quieter with the new clutch.

It's a pretty straight forward part. Installed and worked. MAHLE-BEHR, BMW original part basically.

I should have replaced this sooner
Changing out the fan clutch on my 540iA has made such a big difference how my car runs. No more Aux fan running endlessly. It's so much quieter. I should have replace it sooner.

To note, I live in the caribbean, and owning an e38 735i, I know not all parts are shared with the M62TUB engine. I wanted to order the cheaper fan clutched, however, I decided that I would rather spend the money now to keep the car going longer. When I took the old clutch off, to my surprise it was a Behr branded clutch. No issues whatsoever, and the new clutch is of great quality, and nice to know that it wasn't chinese made / Made in China.
