Not trusted in this product
This hose causes the coolant leak. I will stay away from this product and company.

07 BMW 328 XiT: This Rein part leaked at the coolant expansion tank end. I replaced it with the original part (17 years old) that did not leak at all. I'm going to return it and buy the original or Vaico to use.

Replaced the original at 165k miles with this product and it failed within 2 months. The plastic simply breaks at the fitting on the expansion tank. Fortunately, I saw it leaking before a resulting catastrophic engine failure. I will go back to BMW part for this

Cooling system weak point
If you still have the factory expansion tank hose, it will eventually start leaking coolant. Mine started leaking badly and when I took it off the hard plastic section was completely disintegrating. I highly recommend also getting an upper radiator hose as the end of this hose will most likely be fused to it and you'll end up breaking that thin nipple connector.

Easier than I thought installation
I was going nuts when my dad knocked the reserve tank quick connector on the end of the hose because the car was misfiring hard after popping the intake to retrieve a broken DISA flap+pin, and he went to check the coils while saying "You don't know anything about cars, I'm the pro here, that's a bad coil, let me show you" (Which btw ended up being a super brittle PCV hose that was broken during the intake removal, so I had a vacuum leak, just like I told the old man, but he didn't want to listen), as I thought I'd have to go all the way down below the radiator to swap this. Didn't know it was attached to the upper radiator hose, which was a pleasant surprise upon installation. I think the old one had a leak anyway, as I was loosing around 100ml of coolant a month, and now I'm not.

Hose is much smaller than the OEM hose but gets the job done for sure. The insert to the expansion tank is made of a cheaper plastic that the OEM so something to be aware of. I assume because this hose is more constrictive it pumps less coolant into the hose. My engine temp is at 240 degrees fahrenheit. If it was oem, I think it would be less. Fits into expansion tank a little loose but seal is there. My expansion tank has never been replaced, but wont leak. Plug and play but you will need to use previous "O" ring installed on defective hose if you don't already have one.

Expansion tank hose to upper Radiator Hose
Fits perfectly. Make sure you acquire a small hose clamp to connect end of hose to upper radiator hose. (does not come with one).
Replaced it when I replaced radiator. The end that connects to the upper radiator hose is brittle. the Connection on upper radiator hose is plastic and it basically fell apart when I touched it with pliers. (Fortunately I was replacing radiator so had ordered new upper radiator hose as well.) I recommend replacing this hose and upper radiator hose at same time.
